Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa, popularly known as Endrick, is a Brazilian professional footballer who is a Baptist Christian (Evangelical Christian). The Brazilian footballer, who plays for Real Madrid and the Brazil national team, was baptized at the Lagoinha Baptist Church in Madrid alongside his wife, Gabriely Miranda. He is described as an evangelical Christian, similar to some other Brazilian players like Gabriel Magalhães and Raphinha.

Endrick has won 2 titles with Real Madrid, including the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. Both trophies were won during the 2024–2025 season before he spent a successful loan spell at Olympique Lyonnais. At the youth level, Endrick helped the Brazil under-17 team win the Montaigu Tournament, which he finished as the top scorer and was named the best player of the tournament.

Early life

Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa was born on July 21, 2006, in Taguatinga, a working-class suburb roughly 20 kilometers from Brasília, to parents Douglas de Sousa Silva Ramos and Cíntia Moreira. Douglas was a former semi-professional footballer, while Cíntia worked as a homemaker. Due to hardship, Endrick’s parents were forced to place him and his siblings in an orphanage in São Paulo for six months. Endrick started playing football at age four, with his father recording and uploading videos of his goals to YouTube to attract the attention of big Brazilian clubs. At just eight years old, he was invited to train at a Real Madrid camp. He joined Palmeiras’ youth academy at ten, where he scored 165 goals in 169 games, one of the most extraordinary records in Brazilian youth football history. He has a younger brother, Noah, who is also pursuing a football career in the youth ranks.

Palmeiras

Endrick made his senior debut for Palmeiras on October 6, 2022, coming on as a substitute in a 4–0 win over Coritiba at just 16 years and two months old, becoming the youngest player ever to appear for the club. Three weeks later, he scored a brace in a 3–1 win over Athletico Paranaense, becoming the second youngest goalscorer in the history of Brazil’s Série A. He finished the season with three goals and a Série A title, and was voted the most promising player in the division. In 2023, he scored 11 goals in 31 Série A appearances, becoming the first player since Neymar in 2009 to score double figures in a single Série A season as a minor and won a second consecutive league title. He also won the Campeonato Paulista in April 2024, being named Man of the Match in the final.

Real Madrid

On December 15, 2022, Real Madrid announced they had agreed a deal to sign Endrick once he turned 18, with the transfer formally completed on July 21, 2024, for a reported fee of €47.5 million, a record for a Brasileirão club. He scored on his La Liga debut in a 3–0 win over Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabéu on the opening day of the 2024–25 season. He finished his debut season with seven goals in 37 appearances, winning the FIFA Intercontinental Cup and UEFA Super Cup. With limited playing time in 2025–26 behind Mbappé and Vinícius, Real Madrid sanctioned a loan to Olympique Lyonnais in January 2026, where he scored a hat-trick in a 5–2 win over Metz on his first league start. He has recorded five goals and seven assists in Ligue 1 since joining Lyon.

According to the report, Endrick is officially returning to Real Madrid after a highly successful six-month loan spell with Olympique Lyon, having revitalized his form and secured a spot in Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad.

International career

Endrick represented Brazil at the 2022 Montaigu Tournament with the under-17 side, finishing as top scorer with five goals in four matches and being named best player as Brazil won the title for the first time since 1984. He made his senior debut in November 2023 against Colombia, becoming the youngest male player to receive a senior call-up since Ronaldo in 1994 and the fourth youngest player in Brazil’s history to debut for the national team. On March 23, 2024, he scored his first senior goal against England at Wembley Stadium, becoming the youngest player to score for club or country at the ground. Three days later, he scored again in a 3–3 draw against Spain. He participated in the 2024 Copa América, where Brazil was eliminated by Uruguay in the quarter-finals on penalties. As of the time of writing this, he has earned 15 caps and scored three goals for Brazil, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be his next major international stage.

Personal life

In late 2024, Endrick married Brazilian model and content creator Gabriely Miranda.

Endrick publicly named the 1966 England star Sir Bobby Charlton as one of his childhood football idols, earning him the nickname “Bobby.”
