Career

In May 2022, Mainoo signed his first professional contract with Manchester United. He was a member of the under-18 team when they won the 2021–22 FA Youth Cup. After his impressive performances, he earned an opportunity to train with the senior squad, and on 10 January 2023, he made his first-team debut in a 3–0 EFL Cup victory over Charlton Athletic.
